Epiphany in Care is the latest tenant we welcome to the Vassall Centre.  Epiphany in Care provides home care services for people with learning difficulties, mental health issues, autism, dementia, epilepsy or challenging behaviours.   It can also sort out accommodation for some clients, as well as respite breaks for carers.

After 12 weeks of renovation work by Vassall Centre staff, Everycare has moved from Spur 11 to brand new offices in Spur 4.

It's double the space they had before, including a kitchen and a rest area for carers to use.

Wednesday June 25th was a big day, with the BBC broadcasting the John Darvall show live from the Vassall Centre across the morning.  The Right Up Your Street programme focused on Fishponds and the Vassall Centre welcomed a host of local people interviewed alongside many of our tenants, users and friends.  The audio jukebox was naturally a huge hit and our thanks to the BBC for highlighting the many great things going on in Fishponds and the Vassall Centre in particular.

The Carers Support Centre is planning a space dedicated to young carers at in the Vassall Centre.  The zone will include a chill out area for games, arts and music making, as well as another room where young carers can study or work on job-seeking  

It is designed to be somewhere they can enjoy some hard-won down time away from their day-to-day responsibilities and just be themselves.  The Carers Support Centre is seeking donations to help fund the space – we will keep you posted.

We welcome two new tenants to the Vassall Centre. 

The Fromevale Group www.fromevalegroup.com specialises in refurbishing commercial and industrial properties, working in the Bristol area as well as nationwide.  Fromevale has done work on the Vassall Centre itself including the foyer and David Baker Conference Rooms. 

Also new to Spur 4, is IT Solutions www.ituk.org, which provides IT services to homes and small business in and around Bristol.  IT Solutions prides itself on a plain-English approach and will furnish everything from simple advice through to full computer and telephone systems.
