Catchpoint
Catchpoint was founded in 2001 by Joy Hasler who had been working as a music therapist with adoptive families since 1994.
In August 2010 Catchpoint became a Community Interest Company. We are now a team of therapists and consultants who specialise in supporting families caring for children affected by early trauma.
We have developed our services to offer integrated packages of support for families and school staff, working collaboratively with any other agencies involved in each case.
Catchpoint uses creative arts therapies with a trauma recovery model and an attachment focus. We aim to set up a working partnership with parents or guardians and include them in therapy sessions. The focus of our work is the parent-child relationship, to encourage the attachment patterns needed for security and stability in the family and help a child start the trauma recovery journey.
